Just spoke to Carol and she spoke with Tommy and Paul and got their side of the story. She explained to me the nature of the special project and the powder coating that you had requested and that they typically don't to color and do clear coat. She also explained that since they don't typically do this type of work, they needed to special order heat sensitive tape and other product to begin the job. She indicated that since it took so long that you decided to pull out of the process and take the wheels to "a competitor down the street." She also said that particular shop sends their "difficult work" to them to finish. I asked if your wheels would end up there anyway...and she was unsure... she also said that Paul and Tommy want "to make it right and finish the job." If you are willing. Paul and Tommy did say that they didn't want to "replace" your wheels but they did want finish the job. Carol also mentioned that Tommy "should have let you know that they don't typically do this kind of work." She also indicated that the Houston store was older and maybe should have better communicated to you what would have been involved in the process. I stated to her that I wasn't sure where you wanted to take it from here but, that I would invite you to call Carol direct (email Jerry and he'll give you the number) and she can act as an intermediary for you.
